Service “D” ?

We took delivery of our 2008 SLK 350 in December of 2021. That same day, a Service “B” was done by the seller at our local MB Dealer. Though this car had 123,000 miles on it the previous owner had had EVERY service done by the book at the MB Dealer since new. So, thanks to some personal medical issues we haven’t even put 1K miles yet since we bought the car. The car says “Service D 62 Days Past Due”. What exactly is a Service D? It isn’t in our owner’s manual. One very reputable local German Service company said “don’t worry about it”! “Maybe next year get an oil change and check-up”. Any thoughts anyone?

Such a wonderful facility we have. It's called "search" and it's at the top of every page

I tend to keep it simple recognizing in some respects my car could be described as over serviced based on data I got from the previous owner.
Annually (because I never get to 15000 km) A services. From the B, C and set an menu for my service guy.
This car has 78000 km on the odometer, has had 4 brake fluid changes, 2 rear diff services, 1 trans services. The tires have 3500 km on them, the battery is new in 2021, spark plugs once, cooling system flushed, air filters, cabin filter and all either on time or early.
Next week, Nothing but its annual oil & filter and general inspection.

The maintenance schedule that Mercedes compile is not clear or easy to understand. But as the thread from the link says, some things are done on a time basis, regardless of mileage The one item that is done at high mileage (155,000miles or 15 years) is the fuel filter. The other item that is important is an automatic transmission oil change. The Mercedes maintenance schedule says once at 40,000 miles which is nowhere near enough.
