Any codes? how old are the plugs? could also be a fuel filter issue.

 

plugs and fuel filter maf and air filter are new/ it runs fine when warmed up so it must be something in the cold start circuit / thanks for your reply

 

I had two cold start problems. First was the check valve and the shutoff valve for the secondary air system, the second problem was the type of plugs i was useing. Once i changed out the parts all was good.

I have the same problem! Where is the valve for the secondary air system located?

 

On the pre facelift models it located near the blower and exhaust mainifold.

 

Did you have to replace it or just clean it?

 

i cleaned it but it improved only sligthly so i had it replaced it is fine now
