I have problem with my 2003 SLK230,

1. When I press the Key Fob, it flashes the lights but does not unlock the doors.

It seems there is no problem with battery of key fob and the key fob sync to the car but does not trigger the pse pump

2 I enter the car with manual key and start the engine, and then I press "central locking switch", it does lock and unlock the doors

It seem the PSE pump no problem.

Any idea why the (working) remote key cannot trigger the PSE pump ? How to fix it?

Thanks.

i did the search and have checked the pump. No water, dry.

The pump works perfectly with central locking switch.

But it is not triggered with remote key fob.

Fuse?
Vac lines kinked?

Battery condition.
The battery needs to be in perfect condition.
It can discharge on just 3 weeks standing.
Worth putting it on trickle charge and doing the 30 min battery disconnect.
Sometimes that brings things back to life.

It's possible that the solder on the mother board has corroded, or a capacitor blown.

If the quick checks above don't get results, it may still be worth taking the case of the pse to examine it.

And not forgetting, receiver issue (fuse, wire, dirt).
