That is true, but the pulleys aren't that expensive and give good bang for the buck. Perhaps a 320 owner will step in.

I thought the idea of the larger pulley was to speed up the Kompressor
on the 4 cylinder models.
is this correct. or am I confused again :surprise:

No I think you're right there Chris. I thought the pulley upgrade increased the power through the kompressor too. That may do you well on an AMG 32 but not so much on the SLK320.

 

Just got a Magnaflow straight flow muffler installed with a round chrome tip 2 weeks ago on my 2001 slk320 (cost me around $250 in total). It sounds like a BOSS. Loud but not too load. No rice sound here!

 

And maybe try a "Sprint" power booster. Doesn't really boost power, but I've herd it improves the throttle response (which we all know is poor).
