On what colorcable do i put the zener diod on the cable?
Do i set it just parallell with the cable or do i cut it and put the diod there? Soo everything goes thru the diod?

Trying to gather as much info i can now, so i dont have to stand there half way and not know.

In my experience a zenner diode is not the way to go, the only time we have tried that on a mercedes was our turbo SlK... What it did to the throttle response was terrible, now it does work but we found the car to not feel good with drivability, I personally would not recommend this mod as even tampering with the MAF signal wire would change resistance in the cable which even after being put back to stock could cause you major issues buddy.

Yep, it's a DIY mod, but it may be required after a crank pulley as the ECU can go south with the increased boost pressure (and it can be pretty dangerous if the car cut on you when overtaking).
Best way would be a special voltage clamp kit (I think HKS made one once ago), but I can't find one anymore.

If I remenber well, I think Kleeman does somethink like that too, they soldered something on the MAF wires to prevent boost cut.

The best advice I can give on this is don't go cheap, and don't try to do some electric witchcraft. Get some proper Wago linear clamps (S221), high temperature heat shrink tubing, contact cleaner and proper tools.
Don't just strip the wires and put the diode like it is suggested in numerous topics, do a proper clamp by the book and check your work with a multimeter.

And of course while doing this, don't forget to unplug your battery and let the car drain it's capacitors first.

Now to how it's done :
If I remenber well, you bridge the brown and brow/yellow wires with the diode, I never remember wich side the zenner goes so you'll have to try either ways

More infos about what I said earlier :

I've found the HKS thing, it is the HKS FCD kit (and it still exist, around ~200€), I don't know how it works, but "Subby" made a post about how he used it on another board (not sure if I can share the link here).

And here's the info about the Kleeman trick :

On that last thing, don't take it as it is, not sure this explanation is for SLK's but it was something like that.

The thing is though that the Kleeman kit I believe is for the later model cars which use a Siemens management system, where as the earlier cars use a Bosch unit, the Siemens ECU from what I've worked out is far more flexible than the Bosch unit.

The hks fcd is an option that we thought of too but by that point we just decided that our car wanted a standalone ECU, which to be fair if you have a manual car isn't that difficult but then gives full control.

Sunny shared a great wealth of information on these cars and tuning them which I think opened a lot of people's eyes in the first place to the tunability of these engines.

All-good-guys

Im reading and reading.
Trying to figure out if im going to add the zenner or not.
I guess i will try without first and see how it acts and take it from there.
Maybe its more hunting for problems then to trying to solve something that is no issue atm.

Change to m5 maf, do the relocation, add crank pully.
Then we will see.
