Brake pads are within tolerance, battery stress test showed good and have met all conditions. Are there any other sensors that should be looked at?

Maybe you are just giving that M152 a bit too much gas from time to time.

There is a sensor located on the negative terminal of the main battery, if that is faulty then you lose the brake hold function and the stop start eco as well perhaps.

Thank you. I don't have the eco feature so not able to check that portion.

When stopped, depress the brake pedal hard to set the HOLD. Light pressure will hold the car but it takes a little more pressure to create the HOLD function.

I have pushed really hard but still no luck.

Wondering (as we all do): IF the pad sensor itself is faulty, would it prevent the hold feature from working? Would the fault show up in the dash?

Good question. Pads are of substantial thickness, and I have no fault codes.

You would think by now I would have learned to start with the simple things first. I did a load test on the main battery and it tested good but on the low side. I finely replaced the battery Had the computer reset and everything is now working fine. Thanks to all for your input. Maybe next time I'll remember to use the KISS method.
