Posted this in another thread, but thought I should post it here for completeness. Mods if this is a duplication in this thread, feel free to remove.
If you have a head unit that automatically provides time/date sync to the Instrument Cluster then you 'may' be missing the Time/Date in the settings menu. This can be an issue if you remove the source of the automatic time update, such as the Sat Nav/Head unit and replace with something like an Android head unit. The Time/Date menu can be re-activated from DAS in the following location...
/Main Groups / Control units / Information and Communication / Instrument Cluster / Control Unit Adaptations / Current Menu Setting / Clock Adjustment
This setting needs to be changed from Automatic to Manual, then the Time/Date setting menu will appear in the instrument cluster settings options after the update/reset process.

Hi.

My R171 SLK350 has an original Mercedes alarm.
But the remote control key has no "panic function". It is a key with only 3 buttons.

I have bought and cloned a new 4 button "remote control" key with panic function, but when I press the panic button, that function does not work.

I understand that the "panic function" was only activated on the US models and my SLK is a European model.

Is there a way to activate the "panic function" to make the fourth button on the key work?

I would also like to activate the acoustic signal of the alarm when I close and open the doors with the remote control key.
Is this possible?
