so i doubt it would say something wrong.
Yeah i get your point, didnt mean to be disrespectful :)
I didn't for a minute think you were. Just not very accurate on this occasion........
I'm not at all sure it's worth worrying about the code if all is working well anyway? If it ain't broken.......?

oki, thanks. Ur right, everything is working fine, was just wondering what could have triggered the code :) i just like having a clean diagnose LOL and not see a code. Which is a bit silly if u know everything works hihi

for me the icarsoft seems to have everything correct about the codes etc, and can check all codes and actions, so thats why i think it would be giving the correct info. And about the fact that IF everything works fine, the icarsoft is wrong, isnt really true imo. The info the car is giving is that there is a short circuit, but like Anders S said, its probably because of the diode in the led, so not weird at all the car gives the icarsoft the signal there is a short circuit. Correct me if iam wrong tho, this is just how i see it :)

Well we are never going to get a definitive answer on this. The D in LED is short for diode so that's not a surprise. LED's draw very little current so they are"closer" to open circuit than closed.
No doubt your diagnostics will do most of what is necessary. My point was that it may throw up unexpected results in certain situations and that you just need to be aware of that particularly/ especially with the r170.

Straight from the ICar soft literature:

Applies to most of the Mercedes (incl. Sprinter), Maybach and Smart models which equipped with OBDII-16 DLC.
Certain functions may be limited from the vehicle manufacturer due to the requirement of a special factory access code.
The iCarsoft MB V3.0 scanner covers over 20 years of models, some functions may not be available on all years / models.
