What warranty is there on the Bosch battery?

 

3 years I believe. However, warranty would be with Amazon as I would be buying from them.

 

IF purchasing at a local store then test, or get them to test before buying (some sit on the shelf for a long time) and fully charge before fitting (amazing how many are not fully charged when bought from stores.

I presume you do not have stop/start from the description? If you do have s/s then needs to be an agm battery.

I changed mine for a Varta which is more or less the same. 6 years ago and still going strong. You will be fine with the Bosch. On the other hand the OEM one from MB has a nice little star as a logo on it...... But that's about the only difference.
But as others said,yes do charge it before you fit it.

Probably too late by now - but are you near a Halfords? their batteries are pretty decent, and the 096 is on promo at the moment, and they generally have quite a fast turnover of batteries on popular lines like the 096 - so should be fairly fully charged straight off the shelf. Easier for warranty if things go wrong then as well - you can just take it back to a shop - Amazon needs it returning - and a battery isn't the easiest thing to return!

I always buy the cheapest battery that meets spec. I think their life is much more dependent on their care and use than the manufacturer. They like to be used! Although my experience with todays' battery maintainers is good also.

 

There are Expensive Batterys that meet specs and Cheap Batterys that meet Spec !
I could name a Brand Battery ( Uk Land Ref to ) that i Avoid like the Plague in fitting as they dont seem to last very long.
Good job they have a Warranty.
