Interior part re: Automatic shift consol bezel

Hello everyone...

First, thanks to all the knowledgeable contributors for making this a wonderful
resource forum for the SLK automobile. Cheers to you!

Getting to my latest question...thanks, and sorry if this has been covered in
terms of interior new part sourcing.

For my '07 280 SLK, the interior bezel around the automatic shifter (showing
P R N D + or -) where could one find (e.g. on-line mbz parts house or dealer?)
to find a replacement to the entire bezel or the plastic/glass of P R N D + or -)?

Anyway, it would make me happy if I could find a new replacement to get
everything looking ++ in the interior. Mbz part number would be helpful if known.

Thank you.

Rob

I think A1712670788 is the right part number, but I'd pull it off just to check.

thanks...

Thank you! I tried googling the part number but was not able to receive back a good hit...some russian based website came up. I'll have to hit my local mbz dealer with that part number to see the schematic on the part.

try adding 9698 to the part number - it's the specific trim color code for your car.

I think the part number is 171 267 0288 - unfortunately you cant obtain the component parts of it separately.

... and the winner is

Based on my data card and cross referencing the list that efair just provided, it is MBZ part number: 171 267 0288 of which Woolly nailed it earlier!

My data card shows for my '07 280 SLK:

427 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 7-SPEED
494 U.S. VERSION

Thanks so much everyone!
