Suspension Parts

Hey all, my new baby (02 SLK320) needs bushings in the front lower control arms. The drivers side
rear one is really bad and makes a racket.

So seaching around I find I can buy the whole arm for not alot of money from MOOG or really
inexpensively on EBay. Heck I can get both lower and upper arms with ball joints for only $225
on Amazon.

The question is do these cheapo parts fit and work close to factory parts? (Factory is out of the
question price wise.) Or is there a German manufactuer that has better parts then these Chinese Parts?

Last option I guess is just useing factory bushings in the 2 areas that failed and leave all the other
stuff that seems to be in good condition in place.

Thanks for the help! Steve

Cheaper parts are usually cheaper for a reason.....many parts made in Taiwan or china, even though "shipped" from California....stick with the OEM.

Hi Steve

Moog is a reputable parts manufacturer and have been around for a long time .

Have the alignment checked after installing any suspension parts . Up in chester county here !

I went for the E Bay parts, it's a full kit with upper, lower control arms with ball joints. The kit arrived
in a couple days and looks to be high quality.

I plan on installing the uppers this week, waiting on a MB spring compressor for the lowers.

Best laid plans...

Step 1, remove spring. LF spring is broken the bottom coil is broken off.

So have to find either 1 spring or a aftermarket set.

Isn't that the way it always is. Start to fix one thing and find another. Hopefully the last surprise!
