Radio Part Number

Hi.
My ongoing restoration of SLK!
The original radio is missing - it has a cheap replacement , but I would like to get an original one if possible.
To help with my search, could anyone advise the part number?
Thanks!

Post your VIN so that someone could look it up.

Hi.
My VIN is WDB1704472F049445.
Is the radio car specific? Or the same for all 1998 SLK 230 models?
Thanks.
Noel.

All of the radio part numbers are different depending on the location of purchase/country/year/model etc. It's not necessarily meaning that yours is an individual part number. It's just that it's easier for someone to look up the OEM part number with your VIN.

Do you have your datacard? I don't have access to startek right now. But in searching the uk ebay, see below-please confirm:

Model Numbers:

BE1492 / A 003 820 36 86
BE1692 / A 003 820 59 86, 003 820 60 86

stand by for data card

Here ya go! Please note that early models 96-2000 have very little data and usually incorrect data, as an example, it says you have a soft top!

There is of course another very simple solution to get your OEM part number-just call up the closest MB dealership/parts department and provide your VIN number to them. They will most certainly lookup and provide the OEM number for you.

Radio Part Number

Thanks for all replies!
I have to call into main dealer regarding a replacement key, so I'll get the part identified then.
