Question Front Undertray UK needed?

Anybody got a clue where i can get the front undertray (99 SLK230) from?
The one on mine is just a pile o rust!

Also got advisories on F wheel bearings & Tie rod end seals.

Anyone know the bearing number so i don't have to pay MB prices for bearings?

And can the tie rod boot/seal be replaced, or do i change whole thing?

Muchos Grassy Arse

Check your local dealer - you might get a shock!! - MB prices are not that dear relatively, it's just the labor prices you get skanked on.

If you want to get even more off, try Inchcape on-line.

heavy metal undertray???

heavy metal undertray???
mine was all rust as well!
blagged a wheely bin, (don't ask where. )
cut the top and bottom off, sliced down one corner, and used a paint stripping heat gun to soften and open the sides into one big flat.
then rough cut to shape. drilled holes for mountings, and used heat gun to roughly mold/shape it. cut more accurately to shape. (nowhere near perfect)
bolted it on underneath using very big washers to spread the load.
4 months later......no problems.
weighs so much less, so must be saving fuel and getting better acceleration.

Lol nice

If you don't happen to have a spare wheelie bin, you could always try Dronsfields, they've got 10x R170s listed for breaking atm.
