Autohaus - Yorktown, VA

I have an SL500 and a BMW 318i (with 314k miles on it!) in addition to the SLK320. Every time I've taken my car into Autohaus they've done more than was on the estimate and charged me less. They are also very good about taking you into the repair area and showing you what exactly they are talking about (in my case so I can figure out whether it's something I can fix myself rather than pay the labor). They're pretty good about calling if there is a periodic service item that would be cheaper to do during another repair, or just add the parts on. They do charge for diagnostics, of course, but will typically take it off the price of the repair, or reduce it if they do the work.

The one time I had a problem with a repair (starter problem re-occurred) they came and picked up the car, gave me a loaner, and did the re-work under warranty with no discussion whatsoever. These guys are everything you could hope for in a repair shop.

I usually go through Ian for Mercedes, or James for BMW work.

I havent used their repair shop yet ( and hopefully wont have to ) but I recently bought my SLK from them and I couldnt be happier. Not only did they do a full engine service on it for me ( LOF, Spark Plugs etc etc ) they put 4 brand new tires on it (still had the lil knobby things on there), and they did a full complete detail of the car. And they did all this AFTER I signed the paper work. (I signed every thing then picked it up the next day)

Also the car only came with one key fob so they ordered me a brand new replacement, and brand new OEM floor mats, both at no charge.

I came away from there a very happy customer. At no time was I pressured or was treated like I couldn't buy one of their cars. *cough, BMW Dealership on Jefferson*

They even gave me a complete tour of the repair facilities and let me check out some of the rare cars they have in stock ( an old GT40, some Shelby kit cars, what not)

Nothing but good things to say about these guys.

The owner found out I was going to Germany soon on Orders and He came out and talked to me about it (he's German).
