Cars n Coffee Knoxville, TN - April 2nd
This event is sponsored by the European Auto Garage and will end at that location. Besides Mercedes Benz, they deal in a variety of European Marques including: Ferrari, Maserati, Audi, VW, Porsche, Mini, Aston Martin, Volvo. I don't know much about them other than have driven past a few times.
I used to attend the Cars n Coffee events in LA when I lived out in SoCal and they were epic. As you got closer to the venue on the Freeways it would be early, barely daylight and the only cars on the roads were classic, custom and exotic cars of all shapes and sizes. Impromptu races often erupted out of shear exuberance. The lot would be full of unobtainium. I saw my first Isso Griffo there. I once parked beside of a ratty looking old Cobra 429. No paint only bare aluminum body. I asked the owner about it. It was a 1966. How much? Oh, he paid $1 million for it, all original, unrestored. Wow! Daytona Ferraris were there, classic Porsches. McLarens, you name it. And the cars not on the lot were nearly as classy. M6's, AMG's, Bentley's, very cool. BMW M1 V12 was there too. Not sure what to expect in Tennessee. I have never been to this event but figured it was a good excuse to drive to Gatlinburg which we like to do in the spring anyways.
