Thanks Az and Jeff,
Before next season, I'm going to have to create placards as quite honestly, people just don't know what the car is other than "Cute" and expensive. They are always impressed and to a bit shocked when I talk to them about the Dawg and SLK's in general. Most people have no idea truly what they're looking at when they see an SLK, most have never seen one around here.
Obviously I want to go with a color keyed antenna and base, and I've got a few paint things to be taken care of too (very minor, but drive me nuts). I've learned a lot of lessons this season, and I know that I probably have the cleanest under hood 2000'ish car in the state, or pretty close! LOL I wish some other members were close by where we could run some shows together. I really enjoy being around all the cars, and it makes you kind of special where you're the only Tri-Pointed Star in the show, which has been pretty much every show.
There's a lot of sweat (very hot on concrete and asphalt in the summer) and elbow grease and dirty knees to do these shows. You can clean them all you wish, but by the time you get there, you have to do it all again (especially with a white car)! Maybe I ought to do a thread on Car Show lesson's learned this summer.
