About the Museum - Inside the Museum are photographs and artifacts which help tell the stories of the different uses of the property during different eras. Exhibits highlight its purchase by the Federal government as a World War II hospital which housed injured Veterans from World War II, from Feb. 27th 1944 to Dec.31st 1945. It’s subsequent purchase by the State department of Mental Hygiene as a state hospital
June 25th 1946-to-March 20th 1972 , and its most current function as the Placer County Government Center July 1st 1972 to present.
