How can I fit 245/40/18 onto 07slk

I just purchase the 18 s wheels off a 05 E55 amg.
The front wheels are 245/40/18, after the installation I realized that it scrap against the suspension even at slow speed. How can I fix it so it won't scrape?

Thanks

I had 225/30/20 before and it didn't scrape. Will adding a 20mm spacers fix it?

That should help. You hopefully don't have to go all the way up to 20mm, depending on the offset (ET) of the new wheels you got compared to the stock wheels.

Of course with 20mm spacers, the tire may protrude from the wheel-well.

It depends on the width of the rim also. The wider the rim, the wider the 245 will sit.
For 8.0 Mark171 has a 245 tire with an offset of 35, the tire is 35 high though.
For 8.5 PropDr has a 245 tire with an offset of 30 with an optimal of about 32.

Remember that lowering the car also plays a role.

Yup, mine is 245/35/18 on 18x8 Enkei Pf01 with 35 offset. Fit is perfect. The car is also lowered 3/4" (From P30 height, which is already lower than AMG height.) 245/40 sounds like it's just too tall.

245/40 is actually much taller than a 225/40 even though they're both "40." 245/35 is about the same height as 225/40.

The other thing is the offset. Do you know the offset on the wheels you bought?
