Help with top mount urgently

Hey guys - a plead to see if I am missing something. Suspension on the Left hand side is moving all over the place on the top of the strut.. Yes tighten it up but it looks like the previous owner has a strut brace there ? surely the suspension has some ties here ? Even for stock with those holes. What am I missing to return it the normal and just tighten it ?. Just looks stupid moving about like that..

Unfortunately it is dark, so I can't double check vs mine.

But it doesn't look right.

Doh! You removed the cap. Missed that.

Can't find any good pics anywhere.

I take it that you looked underneath (inside the wing)?

There should be no top suspension movement as such or end float play .

Top mount is worn / bearing or top nuts are insecure / loose .

Sorry for late reply been busy took a pic of the strut top on my 350 , took plastic cap off for you.

Mine have a small coating off grease on to help keep moisture off

You should not have loads of play in that area sorry to say , your center nut and strut top are off center , worn bearing or Damaged bent strut ect ...needs looking at to be safe

Cheers guys. Thought the end play was excessive. I've booked it in for two new top mounts that will hopefully cure the issue as the wheel moves round loads..
