tire question

First of all Hello to all members, this is my first post, but quite likely to be the first of many but will be gentle on the frst one which is, can I fit a pair of 215/55/16 tyres to the front to replace the ones that are fitted now which are 205/55/16???? Will this cause any problems with the set up of the car? Reason being I have two new tyres that size. My car is SLK 200 /171 / 2004 /54 plate.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

Kind Regards
Bob

Bob,
Welcome to the best forum...as to tires...I believe it depends on what size you're running on the rear. They come staggered, and from what I've been told need to stay staggered. I've been told it plays havoc with the handling, etc. But hopefully somebody who knows first hand will jump in. I did come across a guy that had a shop rotate them front to back...really screwed up the handling and ride of course...not to mention looked really stupid.best of luck.

More important that the tire diameter on all four is close (+/-3% max) to the same or the ABS gets upset.
