I知 survived and back with a question on calipers

Hello all, hope I’ve not missed to much in me having my back operation. Went as well as could be just so you know 😉 thanking you all for your kind words and wishes!

Anyway so as a lot of you know I’ve been planning on a SLK430 V8 along with Turdo2. We have everything in place and I’m not going to spoil it for everyone, and tell you exactly what is what, I want to just show you the finished product. This way you can give me you honest opinions on the finished project Instead of commenting along the build as truth be told I am one who forever changes ones mind and that just wouldn’t be fair on Turdo2 for all his efforts in helping me get this done if I was to keep changing things. Not only that but we are an ocean apart so its far from the most convenient build by far!

Anyway, moving forward to my question. (Spoiler alert) I’m keeping my original SLK320 as is so I have something to enjoy throughout the summer once the back has healed and I long fully await delivery of my SLK430 V8. Now I’m keeping this one standard, with just small subtle changes to improve it and bring it more up to date, and the first thing is for me to replace (in my opinion) the god awful 16” 5 spoke wheels they came with for ones that are a little more gentle on the eyes and works well showing off it’s beautiful timeless shape.

However this is my issue, I have a SLK320, I didn’t actually think about this at all until a friend queried me on it. And it’s a little late if this is the case as I’ve bought them already and there in the post 🤪 the wheels I purchased are 15”, et37 and 7”wide all round...... Will these clear my callipers?? 🤔 (I hope so) any help much appreciated thanks Rik

Glad you are on the mend.

If you add the make of the wheels you selected, you might get lucky and someone who has them can reply.
