Is my rubber to wide?

I’m looking for a little help regarding The size of my tyres. At the minute I have the standard 16” wheels with the original size tyres all round.

I’m Purchasing a set of staggered 18” AMG wheels.
The fronts are 8” and the rears are 9”.

Being that the car will be lowered 30mm all round, will the fronts at 245/40/18 cause me any issues or will the rears being a wide 295/35/18??

I don’t want them to rub along the rear arches or the fronts to rub when on full lock.

What would you recommend or will this setup be ok?? Thanks Rik

@Turdo2 did you play with tyre sizes?

The rears are normally 8. Handbook says snow chains cannot be fitted unless the rears have 7 wide rims like the fronts,
So 9s at the rears must be close to the limit before the car is lowered.

Look up Jaes thread. He had big wheels and lowered his SLK32 and that car still belongs to a member here.
