Would these rims fit an 2010 R171

Was wondering if these rims would fit. I like these much better than my original ones.

Regards

It is impossible to tell from a picture, I'm sure there is a size of that wheel design that will work. You want same widths and offsets to maintain vehicle dynamics and ESP response.

Do you know the offset and rim width originally on a R171?

Be aware that the R171 has a very high front brake caliper and wheels that have the correct offset need also to have arched spokes to clear.

Absolutely YES!!! They were designed to fit R171s. I have a set on my R172 and they fit perfectly. Make sure the bolts are the right ones for R171 (12 mm) and you should be good to go. I ordered the R172 bolts (14 mm) separately from the rims.

Note that those are not the same wheels and most wheel designs are made in multiple offsets and widths.

Also note that if they were designed to be used with M14R14 bolts you will need special M12R14 bolts to fit them on a R171. Standard bolts for R171 are M12R12 and will not fit correct in the seating of the rim.

In American, early wheels use 12mmx1.5 thread, late wheels use 14mmx1.5. To fit 14mm wheels to a 12 mm car you would need special lug bolts with a 12mm thread and 14mm shank. I *think* the early wheels use a ball seat and 14mm a cone seat.

If fitting to a R171, do a trial fit with hand tight 12mm lug bolts and make sure they clear the front calipers.

Oh wow!!! @VII7 you are correct.. mine is not the same as the one in the OP picture. Ouch.. my bad! They looked really really similar to my eyes. I apologize to the OP if my previous post was misleading... didn't mean to.
