Todays tip

Check those metal tyre valve caps as they can corrode badly and you cant remove them to check the presures. It just cost me Ł15 to cut the valve off and replace it.

Metal valve caps are a big issue in uk land for the salting / wet roads and washing of cars and some lazy people who take them to the local car washes who put acid on the alloys

If yours is always stored in a garage and not let out in the rain you want have the issue of the corrosion [ provided you dont wash your alloys constantly ]

Checking weekly, but still ended up with one of mine welding itself.

My AMG caps have an 8mm hex head. If they happen to get a bit sticky, a spanner takes care of it. Also stops little toe-rags from stealing them.
