DWS for 18"

I thought I had narrowed my tire search down to the Conti DWS. When searching tires at the Tire Rack I used the search based on my model 2009 SLK300 opt. 18" stagger setup. The search shows 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear as the fitment for this car. The stock size for the rear (and my current fitment) is 245/35/18.

Has anyone used the suggested setup and what was your experiance? I would like to use a touring type tire like the DWS for a slightly smoother ride and longer life. UTQG for DWS is much higer than the DW.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks for the reply. Not expecting great mileage, but maybe more than the 14,000 I got from the Bridgestones.

I put on 265/35/18s on the rear because Discount Tire could not get the DWS in 255 or 245 in stock. And I was changing out 245's so I was a little concerned. But after 2 months and maybe 1,000 miles I am very happy with them.
I say go for it.
