Soft brake....

Hi, after overwintering in the garage ( the car - not a wife instruction! ), it's now time for cruising the roads of Denmark..... But my brakes seems to have lost its grip - first time i hit them - second time it's much better....

Is that just a simple problem of air-bubbles in the fluid, caused by a looong vacation without driving??

Possibly just surface rust on the rotors, and normal use cleared it off. If they feel good after a drive and cool down, that is probably all it is, if they still feel soft/weak probably something else.

If they need a second pump etc to firm up check for any signs of leakage !

And after you have driven car as pre mentioned they still feel spongy .

Check vacuum hoses there are no leaks etc .

Bleed brakes all round using special bleed pump !

Its prob slight air bubbles in the system causing it .

Check for fluid on garage floor. Break system can't develop air bubbles without a leak. You can have fluid boiling temperature degradation after a long vacations, but during normal driving that makes no difference.
