wheel fitting help

Hello all,
I am planning to replace my 18 stock rims to the 19/8.5 and 19/9.5 inches. The new rims will be 235/35/19 et35 and 265/30/19 et 35. Do I need to add any spacer? I do have AMG sport package already though. Any input are greatly appreciated.

Brabus, Lorinser and Carlsson all supply 19" wheels for the R172 in 19x8.5" at the front and 19x9.5" at the rear and all the ETs are between 30 and 37 so I would say you"d be fine without any spacers. I have test-fit the 19x9.5" rear wheels off the SL which are ET 48 and they rubbed on the inside but were fine with a 10mm spacer (ET38) so again, that would indicate you"ll be fine.

Thank you very much sir, that is very good information. Still debate should I go 255/30/19 in the rear or 265/30/19.

I believe I read that the max on the rear should be no larger than 255 even with a 19 inch rim

Brabus offer 265/30/R19 and 275/25/R20 options but it looks like you need ET30 wheels and they have a modified rear bumper/fender cover so it does look like 255/30/R19 is the biggest safe tyre option without a 5mm spacer.

As promise, here are the pictures of my new wheels. I got my brake pads replace (all ceramics )last weekend and painted the caliper as well. New 19" wheels on. I don't think I will do any more mod to it for awhile.
