AMG Wheels

Yo,

The wheels the car came with are MB, 5 spoke, staggered, 17"s but I didn't like them and the Tyres are getting thin.

So I've bought a set of used AMG 5 spoke ones (17") of eBay which are these :- 17" AMG I wheels in Standard Silver with High Sheen Rim Flange - Alloy Wheels Direct (46185)

They are in good condition but the outer rim is faded/corroded. Ad says "Mercedes Standard Silver with High Sheen Rim Flange" which I think these were. However I was thinking of masking off the edge of the rim then wire wool cleaning up, and spray painting. To polish them would not have been too hard, but would look a bit naff.

Any advice ?

Ta

It may well of come off a 170, but its a 7.5x17 ET37 front and a 8.5x17 Et30 rear, which I believe fits my 2007.

So, what do I do about tarting up the rim ???

Not the most attractive wheel Mercedes have produced, a bit dated & plain to some eyes. MIGHT be improved by painting graphite with a silver/polished rim?

Graphite with Clear Rim & Spokes.
I think that is a nice look.
