New Winter tyres

I run a staggered set up as i have an older set of rims on which i have the winter tyres and just switch around at the time

Had Kumho Kw27s all around so far for winter[bought in 2010!!] but they are now close to 3 mm and need changing.

Sizing is an issue and easy choices are to go again with Kumhos or to get Michelin Alpin PA4s. Kumhos are not great on dry braking so not keen to get them again.

Any experience with the above Michelins?

Bridgestone Blizzak LM32s may be obtainable on staggered size, they are likely to be better than Kumhos, but they came last in Autoexpress review so not keen on them either!!

Can get the newer Michelin Alpin 5 for the fronts and PA4s for the back, but concerned that it may not be very safe!

Any suggestions welcome. I plan to order soon so that i dont have to rush around autumn time. Thanks

A gentle bump. I could do with making a decision as the winters are going for a refurb once they come off the car and the new tyres can go on.
