Tire pressures for 18" AMG rims

My SLK is fitted with the AMG kit. That means it has 18" AMG rims.
Tires are: Front 225/40 92Y Rear: 245/35 92Y. The information given behind the petrol cap says 33psi front and 38psi rear. I don't know if this applies to the standard 17" rims, or if the recommended pressures for the 17" & 18" rims is the same. Can any member advise? Much appreciated.

I have 18 wheels on my AMG and same size tires (except I went up to 55 on the rear) and the plate says 32 front cold and 35 rear cold. I run 34 front cold and 36 rear cold btw.

Checked both the driver's door and petrol cap stickers on my R172 AMG with stock AMG 18" rims. My tire size (stock Conti 5P) is different; front 235/40 ZR18 95Y and rear 255/35 ZR 18 94.

Driver's door sticker indicate 35psi for the front, and 39 psi for the rear -- which conforms to the petrol cap sticker for speeds up to 174mph on summer tires. Sticker indicates reduced pressure for 155 mph limited speed; 32psi front, and 35psi rear. Been running mine at 35/39 without problems.

With tyre pressures, I always find it's best to "play" to find something that suits you too - set it to the manufacturer recommendations, then try adding/taking away a few PSI to find something you're comfortable with.

All tyre makes are different too - some with softer sidewalls need extra PSI to offset, for example.
