Hankook query

What is the difference between Ventus V12 and S1 Evo? Both seem to get good reviews.

Could any one explain?

Seems like information you'd find on the Hankook website.

Hankook dropped the S1 from the US lineup some time ago; so I don’t think anyone over here can give you comparative information.
But the V12 is a outstanding three season tire that will hold its own against all the major names.
Note it is not a track tire, for that you need the R-S3

Just got a set of V12's for my car stateside, and my brother picked up a set for his MX-5. So far, I've not really had any time to play, but they seem at least as sticky as the Conti's in the dry. Not had any wet, so can't comment yet.

The are as quite as the Conti's, which is a lot less noise than PZero Rosso's. Really noticeable with the top down.

On wet roads, one of the easiest street tires to push hard (imho)

In contrast...I contacted Michelin about the amount of noise from my Riken Raptors (my snows are are quieter). The response I got back was - they are performance tires and I guess (yes he said guess) that is why they are so loud.

Can you believe that? Anyone else with Rikens?
