Will these wheels fit ?

Hi,

just bought 2 new set of rims. Both 19" and 8.5J / 9.5J.

One set (BBS OEM) has these spec's:
F: 245/35 ET:32
R: 275/30 ET:32

The other set (original AMG style 5):
F: 235/35 ET:30
R: 255/30 ET:31

I have no idea if these will fit my 2007 R171 with sport suspension without rubbing the fenders or hitting the calipers.

Is there a list of possible tiresizes on 19" rims ?

Thanks.

Paul

Thanks!

Is there anyone at SLKWorld who's fitted 245/275 tires on 19" ?
Are te wheelarches of an 55 AMG version wider than a regular 171 ?

I found this website to be very usefull.
http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator

Turns out only the 245 front BBS wheel could be a problem....

Thanks again.

Paul

Or try this one ET-Waarde Configurator » ET-Waarde Berekenen » Oponeo.nl
You will see that compared with the original MB recommendation of 7.5J 18 225 ET37 front you will need for the rim only on the inside 8 mm more space and outside 18 mm for the BBS. And then you have to add some 10 additional mm because you have now 245 tyres instead of 225. So that gives some 18 mm inside and 28 mm outside. All without spacers ofcourse.
Hmm... I think that will be quite a challenge..

As for the AMG's, I tried 235/8.5J with ET35 and they rubbed the suspension. But with ET30 they come a little more outward, and that could give you just enough play.

Hi Pete,

in the hyperlink curro101 gave I see the following possible configuration:
19x8.5 30 225/35R19 19x9.5 35 255/30R19

This comes close to the data of my BBS rims. I'm no expert but we'll see. Next Monday I'll try all wheels on to see if they fit. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,

Paul

Update:

Both set of wheels fit. Only the front wheels slightly rub the fenders.
I'm gonna buy a new set of tires 225/35/19. I hope this will eliminate most rubbing problems.

Keep you posted.

Thanks.
