After Market Alloy Rims

At present I am running 16" wide and narrows on my 2007 SLK 200
The rims I wanting to put on are only made in 17" 8J Will these fit front and back, What off set will be the required,

No problem I think. MB recommends not to go beyond 7.5J for front rims, see attachment. But I think 8J will not be a problem as long as you don't choose wider tyres than 225 for your fronts (Minimum fit for 8J is 215). I tried 8.5J ET35 with 235 tyres but they rubbed the suspension on front. To be absolutely sure you could choose for a lower ET front than what MB recommends, let's say something like 30-33.
