My work colleague's White SLK Reg BG15 PFJ in Polar White was stolen from his drive in The Westlands area of Stoke on Trent (Newcastle under Lyme) this morning Monday 18th January 2016. Please keep a lookout. He is offering a reward for any info leading to return. Many Thanks

I'm not liking the fact that it is stolen, just that the Forum members can help (perhaps) in locating this car.

So, everyone in the UK... not time for lurking by the fire.. get out and about.. let's hope it is found before it is re-registerd and/or shipped abroad..

at least in states we have mbrace or teleaid or even lojack if that option taken and employed.
Most now break them for parts to be sold .

Easier to do . :frown:

Could you give details on how ?

Did they req car key ?
Or req key transmission ?
Or ?
Do you have a photo? I'll post on my Twitter feed if you attach it to your reply.
I suspect you're like me in getting the year wrong until halfway into it, but mean 2016 instead of 2015.

Good luck on finding it again.

Does (s)he really want it back after they've done who knows what to it.

I wouldn't, unless it was leased and I didn't have gap insurance.

But then again it's a 2015 so it is almost certainly still in it's 1st year so they'll replace it with a new one. Maybe even with an SLC. So no, I don't think I'd want it back.

While I understand the sentiment, I'd rather it was recovered - if only so the scrotes who took it can hopefully be apprehended and stopped from stealing more.

OP - Fingers crossed for your colleague.

Great news
But still like to know how they got the car ?
Managed to get the keys or picked up the signal
Or cloned the car key or .....

Sadly there going to be to young to prosecute or let out after a few weeks to commit again . :frown:

There is a cure.

Make SLKs available on prescription.
Once you have one, they are hard to give up.

One addiction that can be approved of.
They broke into the house and took the key
They broke into the house and took the key
Ah yes the easiest simplest thing to do .

It pays to bring your car key upstairs and put them somewhere out of site at least you may have a chance of hearing them in your bedroom searching for them . Yikes :surprise:

Trouble is if they want it they will get it eventually .

I know your colleague wanted the car back, so I'm glad it's been recovered for them.

following a police chase in Audley Stoke
And that's EXACTLY why I wouldn't want it back. You can guarantee that zero mechanical sympathy was shown during the chase and arrest.

I hope it's all in good condition and that anything he wanted inside car was still there when it was recovered.
