Does anyone know anywhere in the southeast of England that will repaint my wheels, not powdercoat them ??? I'm beginning to think that nobody will do it.

Incorrect !
Paint shops dont do Alloy wheel rufurbishment
as they are not set up with tyre machines , wheel balancers or alloy wheel dipping trays or acid stripping baths or Diamond Cut Equipment .
Its a specialised Job .

Robbie4T there is a Alloy Wheel Company just round the corner from me who have Refurbed a few AMG and Diamond cut finish Alloys of mine .
not to bad pricing either .

Why do you want them painting rather than powder coating as the latter seems to give rather more durable results as far as I can tell.

I’ve had my 19” aftermarket wheels powder coated 3 different colours over the last few years and never had a problem up till now although I have just noticed a bit of coating peeling away on my rears so think they weren’t done very well last time. I’ve got a very good wheel place nearby where he does paint each wheel and gets a super smooth finish but his costs are more than double what I can get the coating done for.

The indie I used to use in Nottingham said that they used a company called Pristine in Milton Keynes for any wheel refurb jobs. They led me to believe that there finish was so good it looked OE fresh and you could not tell it was a refurb. Never used them personally but perhaps that’s close enough for you if they check out ok?
