Hello everyone...I'm CHW and I just joined the forum today. It looks like a great source of information, which is exactly what I need! I'm very confused about what quality wheel locks to buy for the 2013 SLK 25 I just bought. It has the sport package with the AMG 18" wheels, but I have no information re lug bolt length, threads, stud diameter, cone or ball seat, etc. Any help would be appreciated, especially a recommendation of a manufacturer whose product [preferably black] will actually fit. Thanks very much.

IIRC, the lug bolts on the R172 are NOT the same as those used on the R172, i.e., not the same spec.

R172 lug bolt see is something like: 14x1.50B

Link has post on part nos. from MB if so desired.

Here are the specifications for the R171: 12mmx1.5 thread pitch with a 39mm shank but it also has a R12 ball seat, not a cone seat.

Hi CHW!

Do people really still steal wheels in your hood? Can't remember the last time I heard of a wheel theft in the UK. I think it might have been 1972...
