Found a rusty metal bar when I took a look underneath my SLK230 today. I want to order new ones on e-bay but I have no idea what to search for. Which parts are we looking at here?

Jeff you are so good. You guys are great at this. It is so nice to be part of the SLK World group. Y)
I must say i agree with you . a Great Team and Jeff goes above and beyond, thats why i paid the membership fee, the info and advice i have got from this forum is worth every penny , I got the manuals in English almost immediately , learnt how to do the boot struts, got the courage to refurb my own alloys , and more . Super place for any SLK Owner :tu:

Hi there! I'm alright Jeff! Spending a good weekend with my friends and family!
Hmmm... These seem pretty hard to find... Doesn't look like it out of what you found. Digging up through every section of the EPC right now... Hope I'll find it by tomorrow =)
Stay on the line LarsB!
Btw, yours look really bad.... Mine are like brand sparkling new! I guess it really depends where the car lives R)

I think I got that sucker! LOL!
Something was telling me it'd be in Chassis Sheet Metal/Air Intake --> Engine Compartment Paneling. Why would they put Air Intake along with Chassis Sheet Metal? o_O
Anyways, here you go:
The part numbers:
A1705240047 - Front (2 required)
A1705240147 - Rear Left
A1705240247 - Rear Right
A0069902912 - Bolt (just in case, says 10 required).
These are called "Strut" in the system, or Reinforcement/Stiff bar

They are skinny =) Also, you can tell it by the number of bolts. Ones in the back use 2 bolts each, and the front ones use 3 each. I saw them quite often under my car :biglaugh:
