Was that at the Star Inn at Liverton, Newton Abbot?

A regular haunt of the Austin Healey Club and Healey Drivers Club, it looks really nice!
We are at the Langston Cliff Hotel in Dawlish.

Beautiful cars, the big Healeys!

There was a TV programme on British TV showing one modified with triple Weber 45DCOEs - YUM!!

Still only about half the BHP of my SLK32 AMG though!

Allow me...

Weber carburettors - an exotic Italian way of turning petrol into noise in a very stylish way!

Still only around the same power as a R170 SLK200K though!

Today I went over a speed bump and thought I felt and heard something. Went over another 10 seconds later and heard something bouncing down the road... Believe a spring has gone, but all 4 corners look the correct height. I assume it is off my car, but I reckon I only heard it as I had the roof down.

You may want to measure width, diameter for comparison with a New one to see if yours, (best, jack up and check asap) there’s broken parts left from other cars on the roads here and running over it can produce that effect ( thinking its yours) hopefully not 🙏🏼 if rear, I would think you would loose ride height missing spring base?

They have a cleaning kit with oil included I use on my Harley, K&N Really traps particulate and huge amount of air flow! 🤩

Yeah, I went to Halfords to get a kit - cleaner and oil in one package for £14.

Took almost an hour, with all the waiting and drying, but it'll be interesting to see if there's any noticeable result. I kind'a doubt it, but it'll be interesting none the less..

350 has lost front and a rear spring over 6 months.
The rear went on first turn of spring at top and is only visible when on ramp/jacked forget which.

distances ‘seemed’ ok visually.

When I was still young and wild 😱 (few weeks back...🤣), in my motoring years, I had K&N's on my Harley and on my Guzzi Griso.
I cleaned them ones or twice a year, just with a very good soapy stuff and only sprayed a little oil layer on them. Those filters always got very clean.
Benzie didn't get K&N air filters, he's satisfied with paper Mann filters.

Hate you two.

Took my K&Ns out last year (paper fitted) and STILL have yet to clean.
Worse, lost the cleaning kit.

Mine has had these filters since it was 4 years old ! They have done about 70k and still as good as new with cleaning and fresh oil every few years.
Last service at MB the buggers had put a new set of stock filters in the boot , i didnt notice untill i got home and found them ! Then noticed it a a extra service item on the invoice.
I took them back and got them to swap them for a pollen filter which i then fitted last summer.

Looking at all hem photos of filters, knowing the last time I replaced mine was about 1 year and recently cleaned the oil separator/breather on top of the engine and having the red traitor light (under 1/4 fuel mark;)) lit, made me lift the front bonnet.
So, dipstick shows oil level over the middle, like 3mm under the MAX - approximately where I left it on 4th Sep 2021 (60225 miles on the clock) - ASSYST says 2 years or...whatever the conditions/calculations, etc. I was having the impression it is 12 months or certain miles, however it is 24 months or miles depending the driving conditions... Service interval? - 2001 SLK230 ... All parts needed are ready and waiting.

But that cleaned "engine vapor snail" has unpleasant oil marks now:
Air gun Bumper Auto part Automotive tire Rim
Tire Automotive tire Hood Automotive lighting Motor vehicle

I have to admit, the small, tiny 4mm-ish ID hose that leads the oil drops back to the dipstick "pipe" was not removed and cleaned with the rest of the assembly - like month or so ago (not clever I know). But the Dipstick O-ring was replaced with one that sits better and since then, the dipstick itself has not got any corrosion spots evolving, like the old rusty patches were cleaned and there are marks visible!

Oh and this time the tank lasted 305 miles before the red light. Not exactly perfect, but not bad for 25 YO Dude!
