Backed the car out to give a wash but with the humidty, Toronto is 106o F at 4.15pm EDT, I washed me 😉

Happily, our kids aren't interested much in driving with Benzie... 😅 They aren't technical minded.
The son drove once, he liked it, not more.
Daughter in law didn't dare to drive, she was my passenger... She liked Benzie's acceleration and sound.
The others don't dare, afraid something goes wrong.
My wife only want to be the passenger, she enjoys the rides, but she says several times to slow down a bit... 😈

Got a call from the garage. Sounds like a bit more that the bearing and fan collapsed. He said, I can not find any aftermarket parts, and 2 days wait. And that is before checking the duo valve.
On top of that, after my exuberant run out with Frogfoot and to meet turbo for breakfast last Sunday, my E-Class has developer some new squeaking and knocking. 💵💵💵💵💵💵!

There 23 and 20. I know it's a big boot but, no way I can man handle them in now!

Very close to selling mine today. Hardly used it in past twelve months - actually fewer miles than either of the two most difficult COVID years. Was in for service and MOT so asked the buyer there for a cash purchase price. Offer was a good one but I have been persuaded, quite reluctantly really, to keep it for another year. Hope I don't come to regret it.
Not me, but German Autocare in Wakefield have had the car since Monday morning, but because they're four man short, they haven't had time to really look at it until today.
The faulty/non-functioning siren was because it was mounted wrong. Hmm!?? Ok.. It can only be mounted/connected one way, but ok. It's working now.
The faulty speed sensor was because of a non-functioning sensor.. Hmmm!?? Ok, first the original one broke and then I put in a brand new one that was broken.. Riiight, ok. Whatever, it's apparently working now.
£404! That hurt a little, but at this point I don't care, the car is now in the best condition/nick it's ever been in! At least I didn't have to replace any of the computers! THAT would have been expensive!!
Picking it up tomorrow morning.

Just got the car back today because of the interior fan collapse.
£440 for a new fan and motor and also he replaced some of the wiring under the driver's seat, which was giving me the red SRS airbag warning light.
Not fully sorted though. So with his car reader there are no faults but I now need to see if someone local has a Merc Star reader or take it to Mercedes/German specialist. I still have different temps on either side with the aircon, so not the duo valve. Mechanic reckons either a flap not working or the temp sensor.
Oh and the E-Class has gone straight in to look at the suspension. This is gonna be a expensive few weeks!

Took my 19 year old SLK32 AMG to the local Mercedes dealer for a B-service.... No MoT needed this time.
£344 which included a 30% discount - plus a nice clean inside and out. Advisories for the usual M-B obsession with brake pipe exterior corrosion, exterior suspension coil spring corrosion, date expired tyre inflation gloop and that was about it.
Whilst waiting for the paperwork, I looked through an M-B club magazine - and someone was advertising an SLK32 2 years older than mine, but with only 49K miles. But for £17995 - can that be true?
I felt the need on my drive home!! The Need for Speed!!
