Edit for @AG Jeff
This should be the first post for the
'Who got their top down in the sun today?' thread.

Just add to this thread
if you got your top down or drove your SLK today!

Love the MX-5. Still miss my 2007 MX-5 ZSport but I'm in touch with the guy who bought it from me and he's a real petrol head and nice bloke.

Went out for a blast with 3 mates and other halves today. One with an MX-5, another with a Jag XK and another with an Aston Martin Virage (unfortunately not in the picture since he over slept and arrived after my photo-shoot!)

Lovely day in the south east today. Top down all day including a 40 mile run to Brighton.

In convoy with 3 police cars down the A27, they knew I was just waiting for them to bugger off! :burnout: :D :D

Top down on the way to work yesterday, but not been in the SLK this weekend. Could have had the top down on Monday, but it was all motorway driving and I don't usually have the lid down on the motorway due to too much tyre noise from other traffic.

I'm actually an Irish citizen born in South Africa and living in Australa (one of 8 countries where the wife and I have had a home over the years).

Although I live in Oz, I was supporting the Poms.

I have learned over the years that if you are not born in the country you live in, it is very difficult to join with the rest of the country in the gloat fest that follows an international series win.

My only constant in life is that I always support the Springboks and any team on earth that is competing against the New Zealand All Blacks.:biglaugh:

And again today! Down to the Eastborne on the coast at 8 am to beat the crowds. Glorious flawless sky with the sun beaming from behind cumulonimbus over France. Along the coast to Newhaven for a 'goodie session' at our favourite South African specialist deli, met a couple of Saffers who admired the car then off to Brighton for lunch overlooking the marina. Back over the top of the downs ( jam on the A-27 following an accident ) via Ditchling beacon. Glorious views of the Weald all the way up to the North Downs.

Best of all, top down all day even with her ladyship in the passenger seat. She's a convert to heated seats though :)

Last chance for a while by the look of things though. We are going to be hammered by several fronts coming in from the West over the festive period. Still some friends and family around, good food and a few tipples. Not too bad.

Yep, top down again on the way to work. I'm surprised how little rain we seem to be having during the day!

Was following a Jag F-Type, love those cars. He had his roof up but I saw him looking at me in his rear view mirror when stopped at a roundabout. At the second roundabout we were first at the lights but I was still behind him.

Both enthusiastically moved off when it went green, he moved to inside line on the dual carriage way after the roundabout and I floored it (well nearly it was damp). He was trying to keep up but not quite managing it :biglaugh:

He caught me when someone decided to pull out into the fast lane right in front of me so had to slam the brakes on  Have to say though I love those brakes!

Anyway I was just about to wave goodbye and turn off into work but he followed me in! Must have been pretty high up the company so was waiting to see if someone would come and fire me all day but they never came :D
