Well at least they did a nice job when they painted them! :)
I had mine repainted because there was some damage when the rear window was replaced by the former owner but whereas they were originally black they now Obsidian Black Metallic that matches the body colour

Without the model lettering there's a chance that the whole car has been resprayed. Not necessarily a bad thing - but you'd want to know why. If you go to see a car, there are usually tell-tale signs if you look closely. Overspray on rubber seals, slight indentations in the paint surface when looking along the car with light reflecting on it to name but two. (Take a magnet with you to test for body filler)
Some folks like the plain look and remove all the badging. The magnet idea dose not always work. Knuckle knocks give distinctly different sound than steel and wheel arches are a good place to judge.
