When switching out all cylinders for the vario roof TRIPLE check your trunk release cables thoroughly. If frayed, they will stretch, and possibly not operate the release. If stretched too much they will snap. It will save you all the headaches I went through. The "Pull" comes with both automatic and manual pull. So don't waste your time looking for a single cable. My part # was 170-750-01-59-64 for a 98 slk. Carry on.

Geez..... Think this was a problem? Any way, new cable in and not expensive. I ordered spares as well. Who knows when these will disappear from the market.
