I had a search on this but didn't see anything recent - my car is probably due a B service soon, just based on it being almost a year since the last A service - I've just gotten an online quote from my local dealer and it came back as an eye watering £724.74

I normally keep main dealer history on my cars, but when the dealer wants to charge pretty much the same as Aston main dealer service prices I'm debating my options. Does anyone know if that's a "normal" price, or whether dealing direct with other dealers would give a better quote? Seems quite obscene to be charging what's probably about 10% of the cost of the car in the current market.

Failing that, anyone recommend a specialist in the North West of England?

I use local Indies.
Labour about half. Parts same as dealer BUT Indy can offer you Brembo, Mehle.

My local main dealer makes great coffee, but I wouldn't trust them with a paper clip.

Yeah, I was distinctly unimpressed by the service last year at my local, so I was going to use one of the others, but they're all owned by the same group - and I'm not sure I can bring myself to pay that much for a service on a car that's done about 2000 miles since the last service

That Indy list should have Ellesmere Port, Heswall, Warrington, Stockport. Manchester shops.
I use MD in EP. Have used Heswall and Warrington. Happy with work, though prefer Warrington not to wash car,
