Hi, Guys,

I've had a blow-out of a rear tyre at 75 mph on a motorway. In the handbook it states 205/55/16. I've got those on the front. However I have 225/55/16s on the back, at least on the one that still keeps air in it.

I normally go for standard but I was wondering if there's any advantage to the larger tyres.

My car has a fair bit of initial understeer. Not too much but more than may earlier 350 171.

Any advice as which to go for would be gratefully accepted.

With a rapidly deflating tyre the car only wandered a little. Mind you it must have really frightened the poor chap driving a small hatchback on my nearside.
