Hi, loving my 1st MB & enjoying all the info so far on this great forum!

The rear tyres on my 350 are new but not the best - car was tail happy in the wet the other night so I need to replace them:

Fronts are Bridgestone Potenza 225/45z R17 94w

Rears are Kenda 245/40 R17 91w

What's the best set up with regards to front and rear sizes?

If it is the existing setup, should I just get better grade tyres for the rears?

Hearing a lot of chat regarding pros and cons for both Conti contact 5s and Goodyear Eagle F1s -

Comments please,

Cheers!

Your best performance will come from a set of matched tires so I would match up the Kendas or the Bridgestones unless replacing all 4.

Pirelli

I put P Zeros on the rear, I replaced like for like.
£135 each from HiQ fitted etc.
I only drive it in the dry really and have only had it since January.
All seems OK, I can spin the wheels from a standing start if I go for it>:D

Hi Just had the Continental SC5 fitted to all corners of my SLK350. What a difference to the previous set of Dunlops. By far the better tyre and with a buy 3 get the 4th for free promotion the price was insane. Will worry about the wear rate later as I have read many conflicting reports.

Cheers
