Trunk (boot) lid is going to kill me one day

Anyone notice how heavy the trunk lid is? Well, mine won't stay open for more than a few seconds before it comes crashing down.

Twice now, it has hit me in the head as I'm getting things in/out of the trunk. No blood drawn yet, but quite the lumps and bumps! Another time, I got my head out of the way and it caught my upper arm and left and enormous bruise. I did prop it after the first experience, but that didn't work the two subsequent times.

So what is wrong, and any links to fixing the problem? Videos on the repair needed? Parts that I need to order?

This is NOT a problem with it raising for the convertible top operation. That all works perfectly. I just mean opening the boot to get into it for storage/tools/my shoes lol.

I seem to have perfect example about pricing:

Walk in MB Nottingham in Dec 22.
Price now, CLEARANCE price !?!?!
Shopping around is not always waste of time.
Will not comment who sells what.

Yes, this is very true, "Mercedes Tax" applies with many breakers, (and factors) ;)

It wouldn't surprise me at all to find that they're NLA if a certain Mr Pantri decides to buy the entire stock at that price :rolleyes:

MYK, you never know, but there were 19 available in MK when I checked. I have 1 extra from oversea (hope to not need it) but the market (clearance one) is crazy as it is...There were other vendors (logo over the picture) and this is one of the low prices...greed! Simple greed.
@M4rCu5 have you tried eating it? Cause I bet it is tasty, they just don't want you to know :)

They do and I have bought many items from them and they've always been on point but I have no idea where those Dromedary efforts came from, they work fine but "I have no recollection of the alleged incident ossifer" šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
