I recently realized that on the front left brake caliper there is the wrong type of bolts.
They are (rusty) insex instead of torx.
The dimension is M14x1,5 with length 45mm.
My deler is having a bit of problems with finding them.
Can I find the part number somewhere?
Somebody gave me the part number for the caliper but that did not seem to help because the dealer gave me M12 hexagon bolts instead.

I’m 99% sure that those bolts shouldn’t be undone or removed, the same goes for the Mercedes badge plate.
a search of this site for front caliper refurbishing should find some results and more info.

Correct you have allen key bolts for the side entry calliper ( someone has replaced / refurbed calliper and fitted incorrect bolts )
They should be Torx bolt head bolts
but as mentioned if you undo them it will disturb the seal etc

Buy a cheap used calliper on ebay and use torx bolts if trouble locating bolts ?

I was a bit worried about taking the bolts of so I have been very careful, only loosening one at the time. It looks as I have been lucky so far.

So this is a part of the caliper and not the mount for the caliper?

Dont touch them as you will break the seal and Brake fluid will leak !!
the bolts to remove calliper are 2 x rear bolts 19mm from memory .

I guess that caliper has been sticking and overheated and therefore it has been refurbed with the wrong bolt mounted.
I have just had the car since this summer.

Thanks for helping me understand this.
