I just bee told that the compressor clutch wheel bearings have gone (making an awful racket on start up!!), and need to be replaced. does anyone know in the UK- London know where I can get a reasonably priced replacement pleased? As Mercedes would want me to buy the whole Kompressor from what I have heard? and would I be able to fit it myself (YouTube vids?).

Thanks in advance guys/girlz

Hi,

You can find a PDF document all about the S/C Clutch at -
http://www.slkworld.com/slk-r170-general-discussion/24054-superchargers-cutting-out.html

And another Diagram - https://workshop-manuals.com/mercedesbenz/slk_230_(170.447)/l4-2.3l_sc_(111.973)/powertrain_management/fuel_delivery_and_air_induction/compressor_-_supercharger/compressor_electromagnetic_clutch_-_supercharger_clutch/component_information/locations/page_4292/
Note: THEY SAY - Do not repair supercharger electromagnetic clutch

Regards getting replacement - Eaton M62 Supercharger SPECIAL Rebuild Repair kit Mercedes slk clk c e230 Bemani

Search EBAY for - Eaton M62 rebuild kit

I suggest you contact the supplier to sort out if this kit covers your problem.

Failing all else a second hand item might suit.

Regards

S/C Clutch Wobble

Hi

Detailed Diagram of Clutch - http://www.slkworld.com/attachments/slk-r170-general-discussion/18292d1322177324-superchargers-cutting-out-unidamp-clutch.pdf :nerd:

Could you let me know the Part that has failed with a detailed description of the S/C clutch condition.

Try wobbling it and try to observe what moves. I would imagine that it is the bearing,

It would be Simple for you or your Mech to remove the front end of the Clutch to confirm failure part using the instructions in the PFF File Above.
