Summer 2014 Trophy Haul. I wish they were bigger or more prestigious but I'm not going to be greedy. It's the first time I've ever shown a car and it's still being "adjusted", and I'm still learning my "Show Lessons". I'm not sure if I'm going to show much more this year, maybe an occasional one as it's football season! :) I'm proud of the Dawg, it did well in meets where sometimes the winners are already decided before the all the cars were parked and judged. The meet this past Saturday had 200+ cars and some were really extremely nice and the Dawg still snagged a favorite trophy! I saw a lot of great cars go home empty handed when the Dawg drove away with something this summer! I'm proud of the Dawg, it did well! Note: I couldn't put them anywhere else on the front of the car, they kept sliding! LOL

Not until I get the base removed and both get painted Calcite White! But that is an adjustment that's coming. I've done a lot to the dog inside and out in the less than 1 year I've had it. But I'm planning on that change with the antenna!

Also note, I haven't stopped looking at them either! LOL

Thanks Az and Jeff,

Before next season, I'm going to have to create placards as quite honestly, people just don't know what the car is other than "Cute" and expensive. They are always impressed and to a bit shocked when I talk to them about the Dawg and SLK's in general. Most people have no idea truly what they're looking at when they see an SLK, most have never seen one around here.

Obviously I want to go with a color keyed antenna and base, and I've got a few paint things to be taken care of too (very minor, but drive me nuts). I've learned a lot of lessons this season, and I know that I probably have the cleanest under hood 2000'ish car in the state, or pretty close! LOL I wish some other members were close by where we could run some shows together. I really enjoy being around all the cars, and it makes you kind of special where you're the only Tri-Pointed Star in the show, which has been pretty much every show.

There's a lot of sweat (very hot on concrete and asphalt in the summer) and elbow grease and dirty knees to do these shows. You can clean them all you wish, but by the time you get there, you have to do it all again (especially with a white car)! Maybe I ought to do a thread on Car Show lesson's learned this summer.

That was a fun summer! Congratulations!!
Believe it or not, seeing you and Jeff and your spouses/significant others, was probably the highlight of the summer. I really enjoyed seeing the both of you and your cars. My wife even enjoyed it and she's not much into cars or socializing! I really loved the time we spent together, wish it could have been longer! Maybe I can give one of your meets a shot sometime! That would be a highlight of another summer!

Hey Bob, congratulations on your collection of awards! I just found THIS. aT $109.99 plus freight, they will even design and print your car's information with the images and information that you send them.

I designed my own board, edited to make sure spelling was correct and sent it to them to print up and install for another Concourse d'Elegance that I am showing in at the end of the month. What I like about this display most (other than how professional it is) is that it will easily fit in our boot, unlike the other monster that I previously had printed up. To give you an idea, below is a picture of his finished product along with a copy of what I designed for the 2LOOK Edition.

By the way, I THINK he is located in Ohio so the freight for you will probably be near nothing!
