Hello to all. I am new to this forum, let me introduce myself and tell you a little bit about a project we have been working on this last year.

My name is Carl Fausett, and I run a company that develops performance parts for certain Porsche and Ferrari models.

Our big-ticket item is supercharger kits. I have developed supercharger kits for the 16v Porsche 928 V8; the 32v Porsche 928 V8; the 4 cyl Porsche 968, the Ferrari Mondial V8; the 16v Ferrari 308 and the 32v Ferrari 328 models. A complete list of the kits I have engineered and produced are here: 928 Porsche® Superchargers and Supercharger Kits

Last year, I branched in to Mercedes-Benz models, specifically the SLK 320. Love that car.
We had one in our shop, and made serious in-roads on developing a supercharger kit for it. Pictures below.

We have the crank pulleys and brackets made, the fuel system mods designed, and our baseline dyno pulls done. The vehicle was on loan to us and we lost use of the vehicle before we could finish the kit.

What I have left to complete is to design the air filter system and a modified coolant reservoir (to make room for the air filter), and the final dyno pulls to get the before-and-after numbers.

As long as I am finishing this kit, I would like it to fit both the SLK 320 and the Chrysler Crossfire to broaden the possible market for this kit.

So... what I am looking for on this forum is a loaner car. Is there a member who would like his Chrysler Crossfire supercharged, and wouldn't mind being without it for about 60 days? In return for being the guinea pig for me to model parts on, he would receive an installed supercharger kit with zero labor and a discount on the parts.

Saying it again differently: the person that loans me their Crossfire will have the ability to buy the kit at less than what it will retail for, and there will be no charge for labor to install it. I will just leave it on the car when it drives away.

If you have questions, please ask. Happy to answer.

I hope our lengthy string of successful supercharger kits gives you confidence that we know what we are doing. I insist that our kits look clean and have a professional appearance.

Photos below show some of the work completed on the SLK, NOT the finished kit.

Thank you for your interest!

Thats a centrifugal supercharger, not a turbo. I'm not a fan of aftermarket turbo kits because of the challenges they have in packaging and exhaust valve warp when applied to engines that were not designed for a turbo.

I design kits that are safe to operate on naturally aspirated motors without the need for any internal engine modifications.

Design Objectives for the Kit

I can also tell you what our design objectives are for this kit.

a) it will be an externally mounted bolt-on kit
b) it will not require disassembly of the engine to install
c) it will not require special engine preparation prior to the install
c) the Air Conditioner will remain in place and function
d) the polution control equipment will remain in place and function
e) it will be a low boost (<6 psi) kit with emphasis on engine safety

I welcome your questions!

Hey Carl, any luck with your project? Just curious, I live in Fond du Lac.

Do you do any SC porting? I have a 230 with the pulley upgrade but always looking for more.

Thank you for your continued interest.

No SLK or Crossfire has been located yet for us to finish this kit on, and I have not been chasing it because I am knee deep in a Porsche 968 supercharger kit and several engine builds for customers.

The SLK kit is still very real - I actually have the supercharger mounts, the crank pulley, all the bits finished as before. All that is left is for me to dyno and tune - which means we have yet to deal with any fueling issues as we had to stop just before that point.

We have several plans of attack there about the fueling - am confident we can get around it (others have too), if we only had a loaner car to test on.

We've finished yup our Porsche 968 Stage II kit and are ready to go back on to the SLK kit.

Anybody that lends us their car to install it on and take photos for our installation manual is going to get one heck of a discount - free labor! Just pay for the parts.

Then all that's needed is for you to call a transporter and have it shipped up here!

Whoever lends us their car so we can finish the installation manual is going to get free labor as posted in this thread - that should save you a fair bit compared to buying the kit later.

Right now our shop is scheduled solid with Porsche and Ferrari supercharger installs into the 4th week of September. So if its October or November when you think of sending your car here for supercharging, it could be (if you are in the upper States) that the season is "over" for you anyway and you won't miss the car as much.
